The CIM Sri Lanka Professional Member Support Committee (SLPMSC) recently hosted an exclusive Member Night on 13 February at Sundowner, Colombo Swimming Club. 

The event served as a premier networking platform, bringing together over 100 CIM members and distinguished industry leaders.

The evening was attended by high-profile representatives from CIM UK, underscoring the importance of the Sri Lankan marketing fraternity on the global stage. Key attendees included CIM Chief Executive Chris Daly and Co-Vice Chair Dr. Ruchitha Perera.

Daly emphasised the strategic value of the local region, saying: “Sri Lanka remains a vital market for CIM UK. Our members here can look forward to increased engagement and enhanced networking opportunities through the proactive initiatives led by the CIM Sri Lanka Professional Member Support Committee.”

The announcement of a new corporate partnership with Lanka Hospitals PLC was one of the key highlights of the evening. In a move to add tangible value to CIM membership, Lanka Hospitals has launched the Platinum Circle Privilege Card, now available to all CIM members who live in Sri Lanka.

To mark the occasion, Lanka Hospitals Group CMO Nimal Ratnayake, presented a token privilege card to Chris Daly, symbolising the start of an exciting partnership.

Beyond the formal proceedings, the night was filled with high-level networking and entertainment, including a quiz that saw the winners walk away with an array of exciting gifts.

The event concluded with a formal dinner, accompanied by live music, capping off an exciting first event hosted by the CIM Sri Lanka Professional Member Support Committee. 

The SLPMSC continues to drive excellence by fostering a strong community of marketing professionals through such high-impact events, whilst also supporting continuous professional development aligned to global marketing standards, helping to strengthen marketing capability at both individual and organisational levels.
