Shiraz Latiff speaks at World Marketing Summit, Dhaka

Shiraz Latiff, Chartered Marketer, presented a paper on the ‘New Trends in Marketing’ at the inaugural World Marketing Summit in Dhaka on March 2, 2012 at the invitation of Dr. Phillip Kotler representing the Chartered Institute of Marketing

Shiraz is the Past Regional Chairman of CIM Sri Lanka Region and a current member of the Board of Trustees of CIM UK and a Director of CIM Holdings UK.  He is attached to leading financial institution in Colombo as a Consultant and a Lead Consultant to Hummingbird International, an emerging regional consulting company.

The World Marketing Summit was convened by Dr Kotler under theme of ‘a Better World through Marketing.’  The event is expected to be held in different countries each year.  This year’s summit had over 60 speakers from all over the world speaking at this three day summit.

The Summit served as a platform for the brightest minds in marketing to share their views on developing marketing practices that are more effective in the changing global context. The event was held with multiple speaker sessions and plenary discussion sessions involving a highly specialized group of experts who explored marketing solutions to the challenges in predefined areas during these sessions.

The goal of World Marketing Summit was to create global movements through marketing strategies that will serve to inspire change in human behavior leading to a positive impact on society and living. The first event, World Marketing Summit 2012 was held on 1, 2 and 3 March 2012 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
