Enable the Disabled organises 4th Dirijaya Awards for disabled achievers

The Executive Committee of Enable the Disabled once again will host the Disabled Achievers Award Ceremony in September 2015

This signature program of ETD will cover the entire island, giving the opportunity to applicants who have reached levels of excellence in their own fields, claiming victory over handicap. It is an opportunity to all disabled citizens of Sri Lanka to apply for an award.

The award ceremony will be held at a special event where the talents and achievements of these special people will be recognised and awarded by way of cash, trophies and certificates.

The awards will be divided into the following categories with winners and runners up:

Entrepreneurship
Academic excellence
Performing arts
Sports
Professional excellence
Service to the disabled community
Disabled friendly emploer
Junior awards for:
Academic excellence
Sports
Performing arts

The past events drew much attention from the public, corporate and institutions and the winners proved beyond doubt that their achievements were challenges which they overcame in spite of their handicap.
