Yohan Perera appointed Managing Partner of KPMG Sri Lanka

Yohan Perera has taken the helm of KPMG Sri Lanka with effect from 1 April with his appointment as the Managing Partner.

Yohan has been with KPMG Sri Lanka for over 30 years and during this time his contribution, both to the firm and the field of Audit and Advisory, has been phenomenal including over 28 years as an Audit Partner responsible for carrying out audits across a range of segments and for some of the largest conglomerates in Sri Lanka. 

He has handled many large listed companies and large public enterprises during his tenure as Partner.

In addition to holding a number of leadership positions, he served as Confederation of Asia and Pacific Accountants Board Member and as the Country Representative from 2004 to 2009, served as a Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka Commissioner, was the Sri Lanka Auditing Standards Committee Chairman from 2009 to 2013 and currently serves as CA Sri Lanka Audit Faculty Chairman from 2014. Further, he is a Member of the Financial Reporting Standards Implementation and Interpretations Committee set up by ICASL and an Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka Past President.

Yohan takes office from Reyaz Mihular, who retired on 31 March from service after an illustrious career which spanned for 44 years in the Firm and he served as the Managing Partner for 10 years from 2012.
