The Management Club Colombo updates on Host Hotel

The Management Club (TMC) Colombo’s Host Hotel, previously the Galadari Hotel, has been undergoing extensive renovation and refurbishment.

While the reopening was initially anticipated for July/August, unforeseen delays—primarily due to inclement weather and a series of public holidays—have pushed back the expected completion date significantly.

In anticipation of such delays, the Board of Management has, over the past several months, been actively engaging with a number of reputed hotels to identify a suitable alternative venue for TMC Colombo.

Negotiations have been progressing steadily, and we are now nearing the final stages of securing a new host hotel that aligns with TMC’s requirements, which include: Upholding the esteemed reputation of TMC; A central and accessible location; A dedicated space of at least 500 sq. ft.; Alignment with TMC’s budget and Provision of the signature benefits traditionally offered by all TMC Host Hotels.

Meeting all these criteria has involved a careful and detailed negotiation process.

“However, we are pleased to share that an appropriate alternative venue is expected to be finalised within the next two weeks. We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work to ensure a seamless transition that upholds the standards and experience TMC members have come to expect,” TMC said.
