The Management Club Colombo appoints new ExCo for 2025/2026

The Management Club Colombo appointed its new Executive Committee (ExCo) for the year 2025/2026 at the 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 22 July at 6 p.m. at Ebony Hall, Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo.

Duneeshya Bogoda was appointed as the first-ever Lady Chairperson of The Management Club (TMC) Colombo. She is a dynamic professional with over 15 years of entrepreneurial and private sector experience. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Second Class Upper Division Honours from the University of Kelaniya. A versatile entrepreneur and business consultant, Bogoda is the founder of several ventures, including Dunee’s Kitchen, DUNEEB (an online retail platform), VIP Counselling, and 4D Events.

Her association with TMC began in 2019. She was appointed Deputy Secretary of the TMC Colombo Executive Committee in 2020/2021, served as Acting Secretary in 2021/2022, and continued as Secretary for both 2022/2023 and 2023/2024. In 2024/2025, she assumed the role of Vice Chairman of TMC Colombo. She has also been a member of the TMC Board of Management since 2023.

Beyond her corporate and professional roles, Bogoda is actively involved in community service. She has been a member of the International Lions Association since 2022 and currently holds the position of Vice President at the Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence. She is also a member of the Colombo Hash House Harriettes. A former national-level swimmer, she began competitive swimming at the age of seven and represented the Sri Lanka Navy in water polo. 

Samitha Senevirathne holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from the University of Colombo and an MBA from Ireland. He is a certified member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and holds a diploma in International Relations from Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS). Currently, he is a shareholding Director of IMS Ltd., and Serendib Natural Products Ltd., with over 30 years of experience in industrial chemicals marketing and formulation development in collaboration with global leaders. He is also a partner in Green Watts Ltd., a renewable energy joint venture generating 10MW of power. 

Shiwanthie Wijesuriya was appointed as Honorary Secretary. She is a Chartered and award-winning HR professional with over 20 years of experience, including more than 15 years in HR leadership roles across multinational and local organisations. She holds an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, a Professional Qualification in HRM from CIPM, and is a certified trainer from City & Guilds UK. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (CMCIPM), Member of the Maldives Association of HR Professionals (MAHRP), and a Fellow Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI – UK). 

Priyantha Hapuarachchi assumes the role of Honorary Treasurer. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is currently the Director/CEO of Master Divers Ltd., and CEO of Pelwatte Coconut Industries Ltd. He has held senior roles in leading corporates and is a Past President of the Sri Lanka–Russia Business Council. 

Dr. Pradeep Edward currently serves as the Director/General Manager of Hemas Capital Hospitals. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics. With over 25 years of experience across both local and multinational organisations—including a decade at Board level—Dr. Edward brings a wealth of strategic and operational leadership. He is a Past President of the SLIM and currently holds key positions as the Secretary General of the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) and the Sri Lanka Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry (SLCPI). 

Dr. Ayesh De Silva, the Deputy Secretary, is the President and Managing Director of Ayesh Associates. He holds a Ph.D. in Law, LL.B., LL.M., M.Sc., and several international professional certifications including I.L.E.C., Ex. Dip. in Disaster Management, and CELTA. He has over a decade of experience in legal and organisational leadership and serves as the Charter President and current President (2021-2025/2026) of the Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence. He is also an active member of TMC Colombo. 

Dr. Saliya Balasooriya, the Deputy Treasurer, holds a Ph.D. in Economics, an MSc, a Postgraduate Diploma, and a BA Special Degree in Economics (Hons). He is the current Vice President of the Sri Lanka Economic Association and a former Director of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA), Society for International Development Sri Lanka.

Mahesh Senanayake as an ExCo member brings nearly 22 years of experience in media, communication, and marketing. He is the Founder/Director of Big Smile Voyages (DMC) and Digimonde (a new age communications firm). He holds an MBA (Australia), MABE (UK), and CIM (UK) qualifications and is currently following an M.Phil. in Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. 

Nishantha Delgoda is the Chairman and Managing Director of the SPEED Group, a diversified conglomerate engaged in apparel accessories through Sritrims Far East Ltd., (based in Hong Kong and China), automobile trading via Sritrims Automobiles (Japan/Australia) and SPEED Motors (Sri Lanka), real estate through SPEED Lands, bottled water under SPEED Water—the leading brand in Sri Lanka—and microfinance via SPEED Credit, empowering women entrepreneurs; a passionate mentor and brand strategist. 

Ramesh Dissanayake is the Founder and Managing Director of the Sunway Group of Companies and a respected figure in the tourism and hospitality industry. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Institute of Hospitality UK – Sri Lanka Region and is an Executive Committee Member of the OPA, where he also chairs the Tourism and Hospitality Subcommittee. 

Ranjith Fernando is a dynamic person who joined as a ExCo member. He holds a B.Com. from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. He is also a finalist of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has pursued further studies in Japan and India. He served as President of the Sri Lanka Association of Printers and was District Governor of Lions District 306C2 (2024/25), where he led the successful establishment of a Dialysis Centre at Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) Hospital with support from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and district Lions.

This distinguished Executive Committee is poised to steer The Management Club of Colombo towards a successful year of growth, innovation, and professional excellence.
