It is with great regret that many of the planned ‘in-person’ activities coinciding with the 20th anniversary celebrations have had to be postponed indefinitely. The current economic climate, together with the fuel costs and shortages further exacerbated by the lack of gas has caused numerous difficulties to the public at large and TMC’s members too!

TMC’s mission of ‘Bringing together professional managers to one platform in order that they may meet and greet one another thereby developing their networking, soft and managerial skills’ has had to take a back seat for sometime now… The COVID pandemic prevented for more than two years not only public gatherings, but also smaller executive committee meetings during the period. No sooner there was a relaxation of health guidelines on meetings and gatherings the country began to face a serious economic crisis which resulted in transport and travel restrictions due to the very severe short supply of fuel. This has led to queues at almost all fuel stations and gas distribution points. The ever increasing costs of fuel and basic food will no doubt cause severe hardship to most in the country.

The public has been bombarded with numerous virtual seminars and presentations during the past three years, some without much success as the natural focus of most ‘would be participants’ was how and when they can obtain fuel or gas.

Non-essential travel by most members and the public in general has also been curtailed due to the prevailing situation. TMC hopes that the situation improves considerably in order to resume its normal operations.
