The Management Club (TMC) Colombo is set to present ‘Insights of Photography’, an exclusive session under its “Members Speak” initiative, designed to explore the art and craft of photography.

The event will take place on Thursday, 18 September, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the City Club Meeting Room (CCMR), Hotel Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

The Members’ Speak initiative, spearheaded by Project Chairperson Dr. Saliya Balasooriya, provides a platform for members to share their expertise while promoting knowledge enhancement and professional development. The keynote speaker for the evening will be Ajithaa Edirimane (LLB, MLB, MCIArb), a seasoned Attorney-at-Law with nearly four decades of professional experience. Alongside her distinguished legal career, Edirimane is an avid photographic enthusiast, combining her academic and professional credentials with a creative passion for the lens.

Her presentation will cover a wide range of topics, including the fundamentals of photography, its importance, both as a hobby and as a profession, different styles and techniques, camera selection, and the role of photography in business, branding, and social media. She will also highlight photography’s power in storytelling, marketing, and corporate communications. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, offering participants the chance to engage directly with the speaker.

This event is open to both members and guests where the participation cost is priced at Rs. 2,500 per person, inclusive of snacks. Organisers are of the opinion that “Insights of Photography” will appeal not only to photography enthusiasts and nature lovers, but also to managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals seeking to harness photography for business and branding purposes.

Registrations are now open and can be made by contacting Joseph or Ashley via email [email protected] or phone 071 586 0000. For further details, participants may also reach out to Dr. Saliya Balasooriya on 077 370 8752.
