TMC Colombo to celebrate 20 years in style

The Management Club (TMC) Colombo recently held its Annual General Meeting at Hotel Galadari, Colombo, celebrating 20 years in style and had its first Executive Committee Meeting at TMC Colombo Head Office.

TMC Colombo Chair Dr. Pradeep Edward, Deputy Chairman Priyantha Hapuarachchi, Secretary Duneeshya Bogoda, and Treasurer Chathura Wijesuriya led the discussions to the new EXCO on the way forward and vision of TMC for the New Calendar Year.

As per the year 2022/23, TMC Chairman Dr. Pradeep Edward had the following comments. 

Q: What do you think about your new team?

 I feel privileged to lead a set of true professional individuals that are into different sectors of management, both senior members and young leaders who can add true value for the management fraternity of this country. The team is very well-balanced with representation from General Management, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics and even Healthcare Marketing. 

Q:: What does your team plan to achieve in 2022/23?

 Our team will be focused mainly in the first quarter to get the members together through some engaging and interesting networking sessions.

I wish to thank all our members who have been really patient during the last few years during some turbulent times. To fulfil their requests, this type of networking sessions will be done throughout the calendar year.

Furthermore, the hallmark event of Members Speak, where members express their opinion and share their knowledge will also be staged during the calendar year. To add management knowledge some key events will be targeted after January 2023. 

Q: What are the first events that you have planned? 

 We will be starting in the month of October with OktoFest to be held on 7 October 2022, a CSR project on 22 October and a Halloween Party on 28 October. Furthermore, moving to November, we plan to have as said before a Member Talk Event featuring an eminent speaker and a Corporate Tag Rugby Tournament. In December, the members of all clubs including CMI will join hands with TMC Colombo to celebrate the Christmas Party, venue and date to be notified soon. Moreover, in January, an Open Forum will be held for managers to discuss the IMF role in Sri Lanka and the way forward for the management fraternity of the country.
