TMC Colombo conducts joint project with Lions Club, Nawala

The Management Club of Colombo (TMC) conducted a joint project with the Lions Club of Nawala, “Lions Little Hearts”, a heart disease awareness program on 9 September 2023.

Project Director, Viraj Senanayake said: “TMC Colombo, intending to support the community to develop a healthier future generation, decided to help children who suffered heart diseases in Sri Lanka.” The project was conducted under the CSR projects of TMC Colombo. “We plan to conduct this program on a regular basis to increase awareness among the parents of needy children and support them,” he added.

Project advisor Dr. Nilmini Withana said: “The purpose of the project is to uplift the quality of life of those children suffering heart ailments. We plan to support financially, 106 children who are recommended for heart surgeries since we are celebrating the 106th anniversary of Lions Clubs International together with TMC Colombo.”

TMC Chairman Dr. Pradeep Edward said: “We as a professional organisation would like to support charity projects and are happy to be a  part of this laudable “Lions Little Hearts” project. “
