Roger Talayaratne


The Management Club (TMC) has announced the appointment of Roger Talayaratne as the new President of the Board of Management, following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 22 July.

Talayaratne brings with him over 30 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, distribution, training, and business strategy. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management with a specialisation in Marketing and Human Resource Management from Manipal University, India, and is a Certified Management Accountant as well as a Certified Marketer. He has been widely recognised for his contributions to organisational development and leadership excellence both in Sri Lanka and internationally. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Ebenezer Double Edged Solutions Ltd., a corporate consultancy and training organisation. Under his leadership, the firm played a significant role in developing the corporate sector through training programs and assessment centres, helping corporate teams across sectors develop core competencies, enhance motivation, and achieve sustainable performance.

Talayaratne is also a Non-Executive Director at Pership Holdings Group of Companies. His past leadership roles include Director of Sales and Marketing at Morison PLC, and Head of Sales and Marketing at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals, where he was part of the Country Executive Board. 

Throughout his career, Talayaratne has shown a deep commitment to building high-performance cultures and fostering organisational excellence. He has also been instrumental in establishing partnerships with global institutions, including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and the US Department of Forest Services International Programs, to deliver world-class training logistics solutions in Sri Lanka.

Prior to this appointment, Talayaratne has served as a Vice President – Administration of the TMC Board of Management and as a Past Chairman of The Management Club – Mount Lavinia Chapter. 

Commenting on his new role, Talayaratne stated: “It is a great honour to be entrusted with the leadership of The Management Club’s Board of Management. I look forward to working with our dynamic team to elevate the Club’s mission of developing management excellence and professional leadership in Sri Lanka.” 

The Management Club extends its congratulations to Talayaratne and looks forward to a new era of growth, engagement, and leadership under his guidance.
