Daniel S. Dissanayaka

Daniel is an experienced practitioner and consultant in Labour Law and Industrial Relations. With his MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, he is also an internationally certified professional trainer (MEF – Swinburne, Malaysia) and is a certified Management Trainer (MTP) from the AOTS – Osaka, Japan. He is also engaged in negotiations with Trade Unions on behalf of Sri Lankan Employers. He currently serves as Assistant Director General – Advisory and Member Relations of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon. Serving as the employers’ nominee on several Wages Boards, he is also on the Advisory Committee of the National HR Development Council.

 



Samud Gunasekera

Samud is having more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. Samud is a specialist in Aluminium system formwork/ Mechanical Couplers/Aluminium Door Window Systems and construction supply business . He has successfully supplied Aluminum Formwork(MFE/Mivan), Peri Formwork, Alsina Formwork, Halfen Moment Mechanical couplers and many other construction accessories for more than 75 building projects in Colombo. He has been working with MFE Formwork – Malaysia for the past 20 years and Halfen Moment (CRH Group ) - Malaysia for the past 10 years. He is a trained system formwork specialist and a construction/ engineering market specialist for Sri Lanka and Maldives.

 



Gimhara Jayakody

Gimhara Jayakody – experienced and strategic HR leader with an impressive career spanning multiple senior roles in the apparel manufacturing industry. The individual has successfully managed and transformed HR functions, integrating them closely with business goals across different organisations. Their expertise covers a wide range of HR disciplines including talent management, organisational development, and leveraging HR technology for efficiency and analytics. Currently serving as the General Manager – Group HR, Administration and ESG at Courtaulds Trading Company, they oversee HR operations for a significant workforce and have been instrumental in aligning HR strategies with overall business objectives. Key career milestones include impactful tenures as Chief HR Officer at Best Pacific Textile Lanka, Chief People Officer at T&FG Group of Companies, and earlier strategic HR roles at Brandix Lingerie and MAS Bodyline. The individual holds a solid academic foundation with an MBA in HRM and several professional certifications, contributing to their comprehensive understanding of HR practices.
