Multiple events in Colombo disrupted by two protest marches

The two protest marches in Colombo caused havoc to the traffic flow late evening on 30 January. Although a large contingent of members confirmed their presence at the TMC Colombo Presentation and Fellowship, many of them struggled for over an hour and a half or more trying to get to the Galadari Hotel, and failed.

The roads were either closed by the Police or blocked by protesters making all the motorists take various alternate routes, and many were unable to make it to the venue whilst others were very late in arriving. Hence the proceedings were delayed by over an hour and concluded at 10 p.m.
