Get to know TMC Colombo 2021/2022 Executive Committee

In the recently conducted Annual General Meeting of The Management Club Colombo on 19 August, the following were assigned as the new Executive Committee for year 2021/2022:

Exco Chairman Dr. Pradeep Edward is the Director/GM of Hemas Capital Hospitals, and Former CEO Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics. He was the Secretary General at the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation and also was the Former President at Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). 

Deputy Chairman Rumindra Ranasinghe, is the CEO International Marketing Services Ltd. and holds an FABE UK CMA AUST MBA UK. He has 30 years’ marketing experience and is former country head for ABE UK, Sri Lankan branch. He is a Life member and founder member at TMC Colombo. 

Asha Jayamanne is a business and technology professional with vast experience in global B2B enterprise management and channel development, consulting, operations, P&L Business Development and Training across multiple industries. Currently she is attached to European International University, France as a Business Development Consultant – Middle East and South Asian region, Representative at Faster Capitol, UAE. She is currently working as Managing Director/CEO – Integrated Learning Solutions, Sri Lanka and in addition to that she holds a number of international positions as Business Development Consultant (South Asia and Middle East Region) at European International University and France, Representative at Faster Capitol, UAE.

Priyantha Hapuarachchi is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants United Kingdom and Chartered Global Management Accountant. He was the immediate Past President of the Sri Lanka Russia Business Council. Presently functions under the Ministry of Industries as a Board Member for National Salt Ltd. and has held the position of Finance Director/Chief Financial Officer of leading organisations in the private sector. 

Duneeshya Bogoda is a young and dynamic entrepreneur who has over 10 years of experience in the private sector and is currently the CEO/Managing Director of Dunee’s Kitchen, DUNEEB, and 4D Events. She is a freelance consultant who is holding a Master of Business Administration degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) and BA degree from the University of Kelaniya. 

Ranjith Fernando is the Chairman/CEO of Sharp Print Expo Ltd., a BOI company engaged in printing and packaging. He was the Immediate Past President of Sri Lanka Association of Printers. Prior to starting his own venture, he was a Banker at People’s Bank and Seylan Bank, holding senior positions. He possesses B. Com degree awarded by University of Sri Jayewardenepura and AIB (Sri Lanka), BMF (Japan) and MAAT (Sri Lanka). 

Chatura Wijesuriya has over 35 years of experience in the field of Operations in Management across several diverse industries such as plantations, apparel, food industries, automobile, FMCG sectors, and tile manufacturing and retail sales. He is presently engaged as Head of HR at Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC and has held senior management positions at Sri Lanka State Plantation Corporation (SLSPC), Bogawanthalawa Plantations, MAS Holdings (Bodyline), Brandix (Intimates), and Ceylon Biscuits Ltd. (Munchee), and Micro Holdings (Sanyong and Micro). He holds an MBA in Management from Cardiff University London. 

Terrance Gunawardena engaged in the power generation field, has over 20 years’ experience in providing solutions for backup power systems in diesel power generations. In addition, he is qualified in electrical engineering, and was serving on board the merchant vessels as marine electrical engineer for a period of 15 years in marine engineering. He currently holds the position of Managing Director of T&R Power Engineering Ltd. He is an active member of Lions International. 

Tharindu Wijetunga is a finance professional being employed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Ceylex Renewables Group of companies. He has a M.Sc in Strategic Financial Management from the University of Dundee with Distinction and is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA-UK) and an Associate Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA-UK). He specialises in pricing strategies and has eight years of experience in the manufacturing sector and five years in the energy sector. 

TMC Colombo new exco starts operations

The Management Club Colombo Executive Committee conducted two committee meetings via zoom since the recently-concluded AGM to discuss the way forward for the next quarter. Identifying the lockdown and current situation, the Exco headed by its Chairman Dr. Pradeep Edward made a conscious decision to look at safety first and have a series of zoom webinars for the betterment of the management fraternity of the country. 

TMC Colombo is planning some key tie-ups with reputed institutions such as Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), Chartered Institute of Management (CIMA), Chartered Institute of Personal Management (CIPM), Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and CICRA Campus. It is looking forward to offer a few webinar presentations that cover the areas like change management, new business trends, HR management, etc. Other than the webinar sessions, the Exco is scheduling to conduct some fun events online due to the current situation in the country. 

The membership drive will be headed by Deputy Chairman Rumindra Ranasinghe and the webinar events by Secretary Asha Jayamanne. All events will be directed by Duneeshya Bogoda. The Exco is inviting young managers and entrepreneurs to join TMC.
