Taj ramps up celebrations of International Women’s Day till Sunday

Taj Samudra, the oasis in the city which captivates the leisure and pleasure seeker and professional, invites you amazing ladies to yet another festive celebration on International Women’s Day, in keeping with the theme, ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’. This year’s theme is designed, keeping in mind the sustainable development and growth of women. 

Taj Samudra, with its local and international presence and flair and forward-thinking role is fully engaged for the special day designated for women worldwide. The theme personates the greater purpose of being a woman, as women are called to carry the mantle of a higher calling and pass the torch to future generations.  

Where there is woman, there is Magic! Taj Samudra, Colombo will offer all ladies a 25% savings at the Golden Dragon, Navratna, Ports of Call and The Lattice until 13 March during lunch and dinner.

The celebrations began on 6 March with a specifically curate menu during brunch (from 12.30p.m to 3:30p.m) at Ports of Call - Taj’s versatile restaurant with its array of dishes from all parts of the world. 

Adding to the spice of life available at the restaurant is the live entertainment guaranteed to uplift the mood. You will also be indulged with a glass of your choice of cocktail or mock tail which as a woman you are entitled to on the house! Also, the special moments can be captured at the creatively designed photo booth, so that each moment could be cherished for a lifetime. 

The buffet consists of a variety of Appetisers and Salads, an International charcuterie counter, Seafood fountain, Condiment’s, Shooters, Gravlax counter, Signature cheese counter, Cheese condiments, kiddies’ corner, the Hot Gastronome serving Soups, Italian Corner consisting of the Risotto Station, Action Carvery Stations, Asian, Thai, Indian and Malay corners and finally and most importantly the Sweet Buffet ensuring all you brilliant ladies are spoiled for choice. 

On Tuesday (8 March) celebrations culminated with a High Tea Buffet at The Lattice from 3:30 p.m to 6.00 p.m for all ladies. 

Taj guests indulged in their appetite at the ‘Pink Affair’ with delectable delicacies from evening tea sandwiches, hot savouries and tea sweets with the freshly bakes scones with clotted cream, orange marmalade, berry jam being an all-time favourite prepared with love by our talented team of Chefs.
