Mount Lavinia Hotel hosted the grand Christmas tree lighting ceremony on 26 November. Dignitaries, corporate partners, hotel guests and the media attended the event. The tree was lit up by four religious leaders and US Ambassador Julie Chung under the fireworks and melodious performances of the choirs of St. Sebastian’s College, St. Thomas’ College, and St. Peter’s College.

Guests gathered around the majestic tree which was adorned with twinkling lights and shimmering ornaments, creating a mesmerising spectacle that signified the beginning of the festive season at Mount Lavinia Hotel.

Mount Lavinia Hotel Chief Operating Officer Anura Dewapura said: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is all about sharing, love, kindness and getting spiritually connected with your soul. As a hotel we have planned various activities to celebrate the grace of this season.”

Dewapura also appreciated the Engineering and Landscaping teams that worked tirelessly to make the ceremony a success.

The colour theme for Christmas celebrations at Mount Lavinia Hotel is hot pink and silver, with the decorations adorned in these vibrant and festive shades.
