Action-adventure comedy “The Lost City” in Lankan cinemas from today

American action-adventure comedy “The Lost City” will be screened in five Lankan cinemas from today.

They are LSC - Liberty by Scope Cinemas; CCC - Colombo City Centre; PVR Colombo 2; KCC - Kandy City Centre and Majestic Cinema.

The Lost City is directed by the Nee brothers, who co-wrote the screenplay with Oren Uziel and Dana Fox, from a story conceived by Seth Gordon.

The film stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum as a novelist and her cover model, respectively, who must escape a billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) and find the lost ancient city depicted in one of her books; Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Brad Pitt also star. Reclusive author Loretta Sage writes about exotic places in her popular adventure novels that feature a handsome cover model named Alan. While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta gets kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes she can lead him to an ancient city’s lost treasure from her latest story. Determined to prove he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her.
