Metropolitan holds ‘Big Click’

Top experts shared their secrets with more than 350 photography enthusiasts who gathered recently at the full-day seminar and workshop ‘The Big Click’ organised to enlighten on the newest technologies and skills on photography, held by Metropolitan Office Ltd., the sole authorised distributor for Canon cameras in Sri Lanka.

At the event, Teoh Peng Kee, an internationally renowned professional photography consultant with local industry specialists such as Chitral Jayatilake, Dilum Alagiyawanna, Sandun Silva, and Gamini Mayadunna shared their insights, experiences and secrets on their award winning images.

‘The Big Click’ seminar and workshop shared the underlying theory of operation and use of DSLR cameras, lenses, accessories that would help participants to take their skills to a new level.

The discussion mainly focused on wildlife photography, fashion photography, printing and sharing photos, creating movies and development of music videos. It also gave an opportunity for participants to interact with foreign and local industry experts.

“This workshop was organised to provide a practical training and knowledge sharing for budding photographers. We are pleased that every year this event turns out to be the largest gathering of photo enthusiasts in Sri Lanka,” said Suresh Herath, Assistant General Manager for Canon Cameras at Metropolitan Office Ltd.

“This time we wanted the participants to be able to capture the newest techniques and opportunities of digital photography that was introduced to the market recently and next year we hope to offer a new dimension to our series of workshops through more innovative initiatives,” he said.
