Harpo’s Colombo Fort Cafe, popular fusion restaurant offering Euro Med fare, which opened in December 2011, at the Dutch Hospital Complex is now introducing monthly food promotions for all to enjoy.

The April promotion features spicy, exciting and interesting dishes from the Caribbean. Caribbean cuisines are a fusion of Spanish, African, East Indian and Amerindian and sometimes include Chinese cuisine. Caribbean is also famous for its festivals and celebrations which are focused on food. So this has contributed to the creation of a varied selection of dishes highlighting the favourites of each country.

Colombo Fort Café promotes the popular jerk marinades in its dishes. It’s a seasoning which is a combination of chillies and savoury spices and this adds great flavour to dishes that are grilled. In addition the other jerk marinades are endless including brown sugar, green onions, soy sauce, lime juice, rum, bay leaves and black pepper.

Colombo Fort cafe features Jamaican jerk salmon with pineapple and mango salsa, Jamaican beef dumplings with peppercorn cream sauce, jerk pork chops with Daikon salad and sweet plantains, curried rice, bacon and cabbage pilaf and roasted spiced chicken with cinnamon and honey glazed sweet potatoes. We invite you to have a Caribbean experience this month at the Colombo Fort Café!
