Cantaloupe Playground promises an epic NYE countdown

Cantaloupe Playground (PG) has mapped out a serious party plan for NYE 2012.

This 31 December PG is hosting two events, one in Talpe, ‘Playground Beach,’ and the other in Colombo, ‘Playground Premiere’.

Cantaloupe Playground is the first event management division to be solely under Cantaloupe, with no third party involvement and launched with a series of signature beach parties at Cantaloupe Aqua, Talpe in March, July and August of this year. Playground is a concept with no boundaries, which has numerous applications and is Cantaloupe’s flagship for all things entertainment related

Offering revellers a diversity in ambience and offering a choice in pace and momentum; each venue will play to its unique landscape and spirit. Both parties will materialise the concept of being immersed in the stars, brought to life through lighting and visualisations.  

Playground Beach (Starry Beach) will unfold at the stylish, colonial-chic ‘23 Palms Villa’ in Talpe, Galle, with its expansive, oceanfront property being transformed into an Ibiza-esque party paradise; promising patrons a more private and laid back setting to usher in the New Year.

Tickets for Playground Beach are priced at Rs. 5,000 each (for the NYE Party only) and Rs. 6,000 for a 7-Day Pass (which includes access to events hosted on 29 and 31 December and 2 and 4 January). Contact [email protected] for more details.

The cityscape venue has been reserved for the prestigious Hilton Colombo Poolside and will set the stage for Playground Premiere (City of Stars). The entire Hilton Colombo Sports Centre and surrounding gardens will become Colombo’s most exquisite and happening place to dawn in the New Year.

A heavier party pulse and urbane scene will unfold at Playground Premiere, catering to the party people of Colombo. Individual tickets are priced at Rs. 10,000 each and include breakfast, which will appease both Western and Eastern palates. The stars will be DJ Sassy Pandez – the best international female hip hop and RnB DJ; DJ Beth Yen from Sydney; vocalist Natalie Conway who has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Australia and international music industry such as Fergie (from Black Eyed Peas), Sneaky Sound System and Teddy Riley (Blackstreet); and dancers Playground Angeles from London.
