Telekom Malaysia has become the latest major telecommunications network operator to join the Broadband Forum as the organisation continues to see a major commitment from the region’s service providers and vendors towards ongoing standards development. Telekom Malaysia was established 30 years ago and is now the largest integrated solutions provider in the country. It joins other major players from Asia, all actively pursuing solutions with global and regional impact. At CommunicAsia, the Forum’s Marketing and Membership Director, Laurie Adams de Sá will chair discussions on how to monetise fiber broadband for businesses on day three of the 2014 conference. The session will take place on Thursday 19 June at 10:55 a.m. These discussions will explore how to empower your business’ communication and multimedia requirements with fast and stable fibre networks and the long term benefits that this can bring. Focused on decreasing the risk of new technology investment, the BBF offers tools for the industry to smoothly and cost efficiently move to next generation networks while capitalising on new fiber solutions and Virtualisation (Cloud, SDN and NFV) to rollout valuable first-in-class consumer and enterprise services. Broadband Forum, a non-profit industry organisation, is focused on engineering smarter and faster broadband networks. Our work defines best practices for global networks, enables service and content delivery, establishes technology migration strategies, engineers critical device & service management tools, and is key to redefining broadband.
