Sharing industry insights: Intel Channel Conference 2013

Intel shared insights on emerging trends in ICT and its relevance to the local market with over 245 ITPs (Intel Technology Partners) – members of its Sri Lankan partner community at the first Intel Channel Conference (ICC) for 2013 held recently. Keynote speaker Rajiv Bhalla, Director Strategic Initiatives – South Asia unveiled the fourth generation Intel Core processor family to the dealers at the event. Speaking at the event, Rajiv Bhalla said: “At Intel, we have always appreciated the value from our channel partners and strive to continuously to support them with the right products and skills to help them stay ahead of the market curve.” Commenting on the future developments in the sector, he added: “Offering the most significant gain in battery life ever achieved by Intel, up to double the graphics and significant CPU performance improvements, the fourth generation Intel Core processors accelerate a new category of two-in-one computing devices delivering the best of a notebook and a tablet in amazing new form factors. We will continue to work with our Sri Lankan partners and help them work with manufacturers to bring these products to their customers.” Two years on from the introduction of the Intel Technology Providers (ITP) program, Intel continues to reinforce its vision to support its partners achieve sustained success amidst the changing realities of today’s technology landscape. The ITP program delivers information and resources to help keep Intel channel partners competitive and enable them to take advantage of new product opportunities. The ICC is a unique bi-annual networking forum and training program that Intel conducts for its channel network. This year’s focus was on Intel’s support for enabling partner success in the evolving computing continuum, channel launch of fourth generation Core processor family, from the Next Unit of Computing (NUC) to Ultrabook innovations, smartphone and tablet markets. Valuable programs include keynotes, the product and solution showcase, the annual channel awards, education sessions and networking opportunities.
