HP unveils new thin and light Ultrabook systems and Sleekbooks

Creating new possibilities for technology to have a meaningful impact on people, businesses, governments and society, HP, the world’s largest technology company, has brought together a portfolio of notebooks with thin and light Ultrabook systems and Sleekbooks. HP launched its expanded award-winning series yesterday.

The new addition of HP include ENVY Spectra, an ultramobile premium Ultrabook that delivers an overall premium experience with extraordinary design and performance, and is mainly directed towards the youth, with its weight of 1.75 kg and thin as 19.8 mm. The new ENVY notebook features a soft-touch slip-resistant base in black or red, making it easy to grab and go on.

“Even if the device slips out of your grip by any chance, the company guarantees that the hard disk will not be damaged, letting you save your music pictures and all your important data, it will not be harmed by any unforeseen crashes, ” said HP Category and Marketing Manager for Emerging Markets Christian Reyes.

Bringing in the latest technology to Sri Lanka, the device is capable of adjusting its heat when kept on a surface. “Our expanded portfolio of HP Ultrabook systems and HP Sleekbooks for both consumers and business, deliver uncompromised performance, quality and entertainment experiences within distinctive designs,” he added.

“The special feature that is brought out is the HP Connect remote, which helps you to play music, change it to the next track, change your pictures, or even shuffle music tracks with just a click from where you are. You will not have to walk to your device,” said Vice President and General Manager PC Client Group Intel, Kirk Skaugen. “The Ultrabook is quickly becoming the must-have solution for anyone who wants performance, responsiveness and secure computing experience in a thin, elegant form factor.”

The Ultrabook consists of continual dual speakers and a subwoofer for movies and music that look and sound as crispy as always. The device also includes the HP Bios Protection, which keeps systems running with enhanced protection against virus attacks and other threats.  

Prices start from Rs. 55,000 and go up to Rs. 175,000. The HP Sleekbook is available with either a 14 and 15.6 inch diagonal display and the latest Intel Core processor. With a battery life of eight to nine hours, the device also features optional discreet graphics, and users can create and edit videos much faster, and experience incredible gaming and multimedia.
