Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 15 series in Sri Lanka

Xiaomi, the global consumer electronics brand, has launched its latest Redmi Note 15 Series in Sri Lanka on 9 February, at the Shangri-La Colombo.

Expanding its mid-range smartphone portfolio with a focus on durability, advanced camera technology and long-lasting battery performance.

The newly introduced lineup includes the Redmi Note 15, Redmi Note 15 5G, and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, targeting a wide range of users with varying performance and connectivity needs.

Speaking at the launch, Kain Wang, Country General Manager of Xiaomi Sri Lanka, said the new series reflects the company’s commitment to delivering advanced features at accessible price points. He noted that the devices are designed to support everyday usage in Sri Lanka, offering reliable performance, immersive displays, and improved battery endurance.

All models in the Redmi Note 15 Series are built on what Xiaomi describes as REDMI Titan Durability, featuring reinforced internal structures, high-strength display glass and water- and dust-resistant designs. The smartphones run on Xiaomi HyperOS, aimed at ensuring smooth system performance and long-term stability.

The flagship Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation, supported by AI-powered imaging features for enhanced photo and video quality. The device features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with high peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR support, along with dual speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos. Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, supported by an advanced cooling system. The device houses a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging and reverse charging capabilities. It also offers extensive dust and water resistance ratings and reinforced glass protection, positioning it as one of the most durable devices in its category.

The Redmi Note 15 5G focuses on a slimmer design while retaining strong performance credentials. It features a 108-megapixel main camera, a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. A 5,520mAh battery with fast charging support ensures all-day usage.

Meanwhile, the standard Redmi Note 15 is aimed at users prioritising battery life and everyday reliability. It comes with a 6,000mAh battery, a 108-megapixel camera, and a 120Hz AMOLED display, powered by the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra processor. The device also features water and dust resistance along with drop protection for daily use.

In addition to smartphones, Xiaomi also introduced the Redmi Pad 2 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G to the local market. The Redmi Pad 2 features an 11-inch 2.5K display, quad speakers and a 9,000mAh battery, while the higher-end Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G offers a 12.1-inch display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, 5G connectivity and a 12,000mAh battery, targeting users seeking productivity and entertainment on a larger screen.

Xiaomi said the Redmi Note 15 Series will be available through authorised Xiaomi stores and retail partners across Sri Lanka.
