X (formerly Twitter) experienced a major outage last Saturday that affected thousands of users worldwide.

The disruption began around 5:45 p.m. IST, with many reporting problems logging in, using the app, or accessing the website. According to Downdetector, which tracks real-time service outages, the spike in user complaints reached its highest point just before 6:00 p.m., according to the outage graph.

Several users reported a glitch where they could post content, but the platform showed an error message saying, “Something went wrong. Try reloading,” along with constant buffering.

So far, X has not publicly acknowledged the cause of the disruption.
