Sysco LABS recently brought together professionals across product management and business analysis through “Product Nexus” — a platform within its broader Nexus series designed to foster industry dialogue and knowledge sharing around emerging trends shaping the future of enterprise technology.

Supported by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Colombo Chapter as Community Partner, the session explored how Artificial Intelligence is transforming product discovery, design, and delivery within enterprise environments, while reinforcing the growing importance of product thinking as a driver of innovation, business value, and smarter decision-making.

The interactive session focused on how AI is enabling organisations to identify opportunities faster, make smarter decisions, and build products with greater clarity, speed, and impact. Discussions also explored the evolving role of product thinking in driving innovation, collaboration, and business value creation in an increasingly AI-first landscape.

The event featured a knowledge-sharing session by Senior Group Product Manager Tharange Abeysinghe, alongside a panel discussion with  Lead Product Manager Fawaz Haniffa, Lead Product Manager Dilshan Weerabahu, Senior Lead – Business Analysis Atheek Razick, and Associate Manager – Business Analysis Amila Jayawickrama. The discussion was moderated by business analyst Vishmie Perera, while Senior Product Manager Chamodi Wijewardana and Product Manager Malsha Mayadunne  served as facilitators for the session.

Senior Director – Delivery Nilupa Kiringoda said, “Product thinking today extends far beyond building features. Within an enterprise environment, it plays a critical role in driving innovation by encouraging teams to think strategically about business problems, customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation. Product also partners closely with the business to co-innovate, ensuring solutions are grounded in real customer and commercial impact. As AI continues to reshape how organisations build and deliver solutions, conversations like Product Nexus are important in helping professionals challenge conventional approaches, adopt a more innovation-led mindset, and unlock new possibilities across the enterprise.”
