Trans Asia Cellular, a leading mobile phone accessories and telecommunications parts provider in Sri Lanka, has opened its first international retail store in Dubai, UAE, signalling the brand’s global expansion plans.

The store, located in Deira, the heart of Dubai, was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sheikh Mohammed Al Shehhi recently along with Group Chairman Mufeel Yaseen, and in the presence of a few other dignitaries.

Since its founding in 1994, over the past three decades Trans Asia Cellular has cemented a reputation for providing genuine, high-quality mobile phone and communication products as well as exceptional customer service, with an ever-expanding product range on par with global industry trends. In addition to its newly opened international store, the company currently has outlets in both Colombo and Kurunegala, as well as a fully operational online marketplace.

“This new venture in Dubai will enable us to introduce the Trans Asia Cellular brand to new markets overseas, and also lay the groundwork for what we plan to be a greater expansion of the brand in the Middle East and North Africa region,” said Trans Asia Cellular Regional Business Development Manager Abu Ahmed Bin Ali. “We’ve already started talks with neighbouring countries like Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, in the hope to establish ourselves as a key player within the next five years,” he added.
