Sophos has announced the launch of its new Authorised Training Centre (ATC) in partnership with Sinetcom Ltd. The new training facility, located in Colombo, was officially opened on 28 October and marks Sophos’ continued investment in building local cybersecurity capacity and supporting its partners and customers with hands-on learning opportunities.
The Sophos ATC program is a global initiative that enables select partners, distributors, and accredited organisations to deliver official Sophos training and certification courses. The program helps IT professionals gain advanced skills, enhance partner capabilities, and ensure organisations can confidently deploy and manage Sophos’ cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies.
Sophos Managing Director and Vice President – Sales for India and SAARC Sunil Sharma said: “With the launch of our ATC in Colombo, we are reinforcing our commitment to strengthening cybersecurity expertise in Sri Lanka and the wider South Asian region. This partnership with Sinetcom will ensure that our partners and customers have direct access to world-class training and the latest knowledge needed to address evolving cyber threats.”
The Sophos ATC program’s key features include expert-led instruction by Sophos-certified trainers with deep technical expertise, access to official Sophos training materials and secure virtual labs, a Train-the-Trainer certification model to support global standards, and continuous program support, performance monitoring, and regular updates from Sophos.
Through this initiative, Sinetcom will offer Sophos-certified training programs covering key Sophos technologies, including firewall, endpoint, and cloud security solutions. The programs are designed for IT professionals at all levels – from security administrators to solution architects – helping organisations strengthen their defences and stay ahead of emerging cyber risks.
Through the ATC program, partners and customers can benefit from access to official Sophos training and certification in Sri Lanka, upskilling opportunities to enhance technical and operational expertise, and globally recognised certifications to boost professional credibility. Each participant will receive a Sophos training pack with access to course materials, hands-on lab environments, and certification licencing through the Sophos Training Portal.
