Redington and IBM bring together Sri Lanka’s enterprise leaders at Innovation Forum 2026 to accelerate AI-driven transformation

  • Flagship forum highlights the role of secure AI, ecosystem collaboration, and enterprise innovation in advancing Sri Lanka’s digital economy

Redington, in collaboration with IBM, successfully hosted the IBM Innovation Forum Sri Lanka 2026 on 5 June at The Studio, Cinnamon Life City of Dreams, bringing together senior business leaders, technology decision-makers, government representatives, and ecosystem partners to discuss the future of secure, AI-driven enterprise transformation.

Held under the theme “Building Secure, AI-Driven, and Autonomous Enterprises in Sri Lanka,” the forum provided a platform for organisations to explore how emerging technologies can accelerate innovation, strengthen resilience, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Redington ASEAN and  South Asia CEO Cem Borhan said, “Sri Lanka is entering a defining phase in its digital transformation journey. Aligned with Sri Lanka’s National Digital Economy Strategy 2030, the forum featured discussions on enterprise AI adoption, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernisation, data protection, operational resilience, and governance. Industry experts shared practical perspectives on how organisations can move beyond experimentation to operationalise AI securely and at scale.

The event featured keynote addresses from IBM India and South Asia Vice President -Technology Gaurav Agarwal, and IBM India and South Asia Executive Director - Growth Markets and Technology Sales Siddhesh Naik, who highlighted opportunities for enterprises to leverage AI and hybrid cloud technologies to drive innovation and business value.

A key highlight of the forum was a panel discussion featuring technology leaders from DFCC Bank, SANASA Development Bank, and Union Bank, who shared insights on scaling AI-driven transformation while maintaining security, compliance, and operational resilience.

The forum also marked the introduction of IBM Bob, an AI-first development partner built for enterprise teams, in Sri Lanka. It works across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning and coding to testing, deployment, and modernisation, with the governance and security controls enterprises need.

Supported by technology partners Blue Chip Technical Services, N-able Ltd., and South Asian Technologies Group (SAT), the event reinforced the importance of ecosystem collaboration in enabling enterprise innovation and accelerating technology adoption across Sri Lanka.

The IBM Innovation Forum Sri Lanka 2026 reaffirmed Redington and IBM’s shared commitment to enabling secure AI adoption, strengthening digital capabilities across industries, and supporting Sri Lanka’s journey toward a resilient, intelligent, and future-ready digital economy.
