MiHCM appoints Pubudini Abeyesekera as CEO for Sri Lanka and the Maldives

MiHCM CEO for Sri Lanka and the Maldives Pubudini Abeyesekera

MiHCM, a gamechanger in workforce and digital workplace solutions, has announced the appointment of Pubudini Abeyesekera as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Sri Lanka and the Maldives with effect from 1 July. 

In this new role, Abeyesekera will be leading MiHCM Sri Lanka and MiHCM Maldives in business operations and delivery.

Abeyesekera has been MiHCM’s General Manager of Business Operations for Sri Lanka and the Maldives since December 2022.

“Pubudini has demonstrated outstanding leadership and strategic acumen during her tenure, and we are confident in her ability to lead our operations in these key markets. As we accelerate our growth and AI-led innovation in the region, I am confident that Pubudini will steer our Sri Lanka and Maldives operations with clarity, purpose, and a strong focus on customer success.”

Commenting on the appointment, Abeyesekera said: “Being entrusted with the role of CEO for Sri Lanka and Maldives is humbling and deeply meaningful. My journey as General Manager was filled with learning, growth, and incredible teamwork, and I carry these experiences with me into this new chapter of my career. I’m excited to lead my team with empathy, laser sharp focus, and purpose to ensure MiHCM leads the way in HR and work tech in Sri Lanka and Maldives.”

Prior to joining MiHCM, Abeyesekera served as Head of Business Development at Veracity AI (Veracity Group) and has also held leadership positions at Third Space Global and Creately. 

Her experience and exposure span a wide range of industries and markets, including IT, education, tech and start-ups, real estate, airlines, banking, and hospitality in the UAE, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
