Mastercard, a global leader in payment innovation and technology, has partnered the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) as the Diamond Sponsor of the 41st National Information Technology Conference (NITC) 2023.

The NITC is Sri Lanka’s flagship Computing Conference organised by CSSL as an initiative to advance professionalism, research, innovation, and digital literacy in Sri Lanka

Mastercard’s sponsorship aligns with the conference’s focus on digital transformation and IT advancements. It also underscores company’s commitment to supporting and driving digital initiatives, including digital payments and financial technology.

Supporting the Ministry of Technology, the National Partner of NITC 2023, Mastercard can leverage its global expertise to provide invaluable insights and solutions for Sri Lanka’s payments ecosystem. Committed to advancing digitally inclusive communities, Mastercard, partnering the conference, can play a key role in enhancing administrative efficiencies and promoting sustainable economic growth and prosperity.

The theme for this year’s National IT Conference, ‘Towards a Sustainable Digital Society,’ resonates with the government’s vision and commitment of advancing towards a digital economy, as outlined in the DIGIECON 2030 program – a framework aimed at accelerating Sri Lanka towards an inclusive digital economy. The conference is dedicated to propelling Sri Lanka’s economic transformation into an inclusive digital economy through the adoption of state-of-the-art technology-driven solutions.

As a multifaceted business conference, the NITC 2023 spans three days from 11-13 October hosted at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. The conference includes several events, including the inauguration of DIGIECON 2030, the NITC Conference, the CSSL Awards, and the Sri Lanka Digital Investment Summit. Attendees include officials from the State, and private sectors, industry and academia.
