Just In Time Technologies and SLASSCOM join forces in Cybersecurity workshops

Just In Time Technologies (JITT), a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions, and SLASSCOM Academy, Sri Lanka’s IT and BPM industry enabler for the country’s technology landscape, have successfully concluded the inaugural workshop on “Digital Fortress Building and Operating Effective Cybersecurity Operations Centres (SOCS).” 

This milestone event marks the commencement of a collaborative journey following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organisations. 

The workshop, held on 29 March, was led by Just In Time Group CEO and Cloud Security Alliance Sri Lanka Chapter President Neranjan Dissanayake. Neranjan is a renowned expert in cybersecurity strategy and operations. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Neranjan brought invaluable insights and practical knowledge to the participants.

Attended by more than 35 professionals across various industries, the workshop attracted participants all sharing a common interest and expertise in cybersecurity. 

Drawing from real-life case studies, the sessions explored topics on dynamic cyberthreat landscape, the significance of threat intelligence, the strategic architecture of Security Operations Centers (SOCs), effective incident response protocols, and more.

Managing Director, e-Builder, a participant J. C. Ekanayake, praises the workshop stating, “This workshop was one of the best programs I have attended in a long time. SLASSCOM’s arrangements were well executed, and the facilitator was simply brilliant, extremely knowledgeable, and had a superb delivery.” His sentiments were echoed by all participants, indicating a unanimous appreciation for the workshop’s quality and delivery.

Neranjan goes on to explain the ethos behind effective SOCs, emphasising that “that technology is just one piece of the puzzle.
