Accolades at ISACA Global Achievement Awards 2025 recognise excellence in leadership and impact

The ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter has achieved a significant milestone on the global stage by being awarded the Outstanding Chapter Award at the ISACA Global Achievement Awards 2025. Adding to this momentous achievement, Past President of the Chapter Lakmal Embuldeniya was honoured with the Outstanding Chapter Leader Award, solidifying Sri Lanka’s stature within the global ISACA community.

These prestigious recognitions were awarded by ISACA Global, a leading international professional association focused on IT governance, information systems assurance, cybersecurity, risk, and privacy, during its annual Awards Ceremony held in Orlando, US.

ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter current President Ashane Jayaekara expressed his pride and gratitude: “We are deeply honoured to receive the Outstanding Chapter Award from ISACA Global. This is a proud moment not only for the Chapter but for the entire professional community in Sri Lanka. It reflects years of dedicated volunteerism, knowledge sharing, and commitment to advancing digital trust in our country. This recognition also reminds us of our continued responsibility to inspire excellence and innovation in governance, cybersecurity, risk, and privacy.”

Past President Lakmal Embuldeniya, who was instrumental in leading key Chapter initiatives during a critical time of digital acceleration, shared his reflections upon receiving the Outstanding Chapter Leader Award: “This award is a humbling recognition of collective effort. I accept it on behalf of an exceptional team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to uplift professional standards and create inclusive platforms for learning and collaboration.
