Great Place To Work Sri Lanka has officially announced the Best Workplaces in the technology industry for 2026.  

The 2026 study by Great Place To Work Sri Lanka surveyed over 4,500 employees across the technology sector, including IT, IT Solutions, ITES, and Telecommunications, achieving an impressive average response rate of 85%. From 26 organisations shortlisted, the 10 Best Workplaces were selected using the globally recognised Great Place To Work For All model, which combines the Trust Index survey (75%) with the Culture Audit (25%). 

The Trust Index Survey measures employee perceptions related to trust, pride, and camaraderie. The Culture Audit evaluates the organisations’ people practices and cultural frameworks. To ensure absolute statistical validity, the study maintained a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. Employee honesty was protected through strict confidentiality guidelines, pre-survey awareness, and an anonymous hotline, followed by rigorous post-survey audits. Eligible organisations required over 20 local employees, a formal Great Place To Work Certification, and a minimum threshold of 70% positive employee perception.

The study revealed critical benchmarks. The Best 10 organisations achieved a remarkable average Trust Index score of 90%. Furthermore, these leading workplaces outperformed the rest in the study by 13% when it comes to positive employee sentiment regarding discretionary effort, one of the most important indicators of healthy workplace culture. While compensation continues to be a growth area sector-wide, the Best significantly outpaced their peers in compensation satisfaction. Employees also highlighted executives’ business acumen, leadership’s role modelling behaviour, and an inclusive, welcoming culture as defining strengths.

To celebrate these achievements, a learning forum was hosted recently titled “The AI Workplace Shift: How Emerging Leaders Stay Relevant in a Changing World,” where they honoured the 10 Best Workplaces in the technology industry for 2026. Presented in order of ranking, the organisations are: Altrium Ltd., Dijital Team, SYNERGEN Health Ltd., Gapstars Ltd., Activ8 Asia Ltd., Adapt Information Technologies Ltd., SYNERGEN Technology Labs Ltd., Stelacom Ltd., BoardPAC Ltd., and Perfect Business Solution Services Ltd.

The forum brought together industry experts to explore the intersection of AI, workplace culture, and human capability. DFCC Bank Manager – Digital Acquisition and FITIS Vice President – Digital Services Chapter Pranath Fernando delivered the keynote session on “Leading Through the AI Shift: Culture, Capability & Change,” sharing insights on how leaders can navigate AI-driven transformation by fostering adaptable cultures, building future-ready capabilities, and leading change with purpose while the  fireside  chat with  Koko Head - Product Fayaz Fazul and IronOne Technologies Vice President - Global Strategy Manori Unambuwe explored how leading technology organisations are leveraging AI to drive innovation and build future-ready workplaces. 

Additionally, Great Place To Work Sri Lanka, presented key findings from the insights study on the Best Workplaces in the Technology Industry 2026 in Sri Lanka. 

The forum concluded with a keynote by Barista Coffee Lanka Founder and CEO Dilupa Pathirana on “The Human Edge: What AI Can’t Replace,” emphasising the enduring importance of empathy, judgment, creativity, and critical thinking in an AI-driven world.
