Founded in 1976, the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) stands as the apex body for computing professionals in the country. Celebrating a monumental 50 years of shaping the national technology landscape in 2026, CSSL continues to drive excellence and professional standards across the ICT sector. CSSL is a prominent member of both the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) and the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), as well as a provisional signatory of the Seoul Accord, enabling international recognition and accreditation for ICT-related degrees in Sri Lanka. CSSL holds the distinction of being the first ICT professional body in Southeast Asia to achieve accreditation from the International Practice Partnership (IP3).
