DMS Software Technologies and Rajarata University of Sri Lanka have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step towards strengthening collaboration between academia and the corporate sector.
The MoU is designed to promote knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and industry exposure for students, particularly in areas of digital innovation, management, and hospitality. Both parties expressed their enthusiasm for working together to bridge the gap between higher education and the evolving needs of the business and technology sectors.

Rajarata University of Sri Lanka Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. P.H.G. Janaka Pushpakumara in his speech highlighted the University’s commitment to making the Tourism and Hospitality degree program more industry- and technology-oriented to better align with current industry requirements.
This agreement is expected to pave the way for joint training programs, student internships, curriculum development, and consultancy initiatives, benefiting both the academic community and industry stakeholders.
From DMS Software Technologies, the delegation was led by Director and CEO Lasantha Bogoda, alongside Assistant General Manager – Digital Engineering and Strategic Solutions Aruna Basnayake, Assistant General Manager – Sales Operations, Customer Success and Training Bhashini Malawaraarachchi, Group Manager, Territory Sales and Marketing Asithaa Munasinghe and Technical Lead – DMSiTOS Ishara Sampath.
Representing Rajarata University of Sri Lanka were Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. P.H.G. Janaka Pushpakumara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies Prof. P.M.B. Jayathilake, Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management K.T.L.U.S. Dayangana, and Director, University Business Linkage Cell Prof. Manoj Samarathunga. They were joined by other Heads of Departments and Academic members of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management and the students underscoring the broad institutional commitment to the partnership.
