Cloud Security Alliance Sri Lanka Chapter debuts

Sri Lanka took a significant step towards fortifying its cloud computing landscape, as the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) launched its Sri Lanka Chapter during the prestigious INFOTEL Information Technology Exhibition 2023.

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a non-profit organisation that promotes the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing. It also provides education on the uses of Cloud Computing to help secure all other forms of computing. CSA is a coalition of individuals, companies, governments, and other organisations dedicated to defining and promoting best practices to ensure a secure cloud computing environment. Through research, education, certification, events, and products, CSA aims to ensure cloud-computing users can have a high level of confidence in the security of cloud solutions and services.

Sri Lanka Cloud Security Alliance Chapter esteemed President Neranjan Dissanayake emphasised the significance of this milestone achievement for cloud security professionals in Sri Lanka. By establishing a local chapter, Sri Lanka can tap into the wealth of industry expertise to provide robust security research, education, certification, events, and products. The CSA’s activities, knowledge, and extensive network will undoubtedly benefit the entire cloud computing community, including providers, customers, governments, entrepreneurs, and the assurance industry. He stated briefly that our vision and mission statements is leading Sri Lanka’s journey towards a secure and innovative digital future through cloud security excellence.

The launch event witnessed a multitude of industry professionals, government officials, and technology enthusiasts coming together to celebrate this momentous occasion. Attendees were able to explore the latest advancements in cloud security, learn from expert speakers, and engage in insightful discussions surrounding the future of cloud computing in Sri Lanka.

Further, bolstering cloud security standards in Sri Lanka through collaboration, education, and innovation, fostering a network of professionals and organisations dedicated to safeguarding digital assets, promoting best practices, and advancing a secure, resilient cloud computing future, thereby positioning Sri Lanka as a hub for cloud security excellence. 

Meanwhile, the Cloud Security Alliance Sri Lanka Chapter invites all cloud security enthusiasts, professionals, and stakeholders to join hands in their mission to ensure a secure and resilient cloud-computing ecosystem in Sri Lanka.
