Ashane Jayasekara appointed to EC Council Global Advisory Board on Digital Forensics

BDO in Sri Lanka Deputy Managing Partner and BDO in Maldives Managing Partner Ashane Jayasekara, was appointed to the digital forensics advisory board of the EC Council based in the USA. 

The EC-Council Advisory Board for computer forensics is comprised of prominent Global leaders and Cyber Forensic professionals from diverse sectors. Their voices serve as an invaluable guidance to help EC-Council in building new initiatives for Cyber and Digital Forensics. 

The international Council of E-Commerce Consultants, also known as EC-Council, is the world’s largest cyber security technical certification body. It operates in 145 countries globally and is the owner and developer of the world-famous Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI), Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), License Penetration Testing (Practical) programs, among others. 

The EC Council has certified over 200,000 information security professionals globally that have influenced the cyber security mindset of countless organisations worldwide.

Ashane is the Head of Risk Advisory, Cyber and Forensic service lines at BDO. Ashane currently serves as a Member of the Governing Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) of Sri Lanka. He is also an executive committee member of the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence of SLASSCOM Sri Lanka. 

He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland. He also holds a Master of Laws in international business specialising in Information Technology and intellectual property. 

Ashane is a Certified Internal Auditor [IIA-USA], a Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE), a Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator [CHFI] and a Certified Information’s Systems Auditor (ISACA-USA).
