Airtel Lanka empowers retail partners with ‘R-Offer’ rewards scheme, raffle draw

Celebrating its island-wide retail partner network, Airtel Lanka has successfully completed two of its popular ‘R-Offer’ raffle draw programs between August and December 2023. 

Approximately 8,600 retailers qualified for the R-Offer raffle draw, based on the number of reloads that each of them had sold. By the end of the programme, Airtel Lanka rewarded 1,500 of these retailers with a brand new smartphone, and gift vouchers ranging from Rs. 1,000, Rs. 2,000, and Rs. 5,000. 

Inspired by the success of similarly popular global initiatives, R-Offer empowers Airtel retail partners to provide customers with products specially tailored to deliver maximum value based on individual customer individual needs. This is a first of its kind initiative launched by Airtel in the Sri Lankan market which was later adopted by various other operators. 

Airtel CEO/MD Ashish Chandra said this in turn fosters greater customer satisfaction by offering them unmatched offers specially crafter for them, while increasing retailer earnings up to 40%. 

“Our retail partners across the island have been fundamental to Airtel’s phenomenal growth to this day, The R-Offer program is our way of standing by them through challenging times, and showing our gratitude and appreciation for their essential contributions to our continuing growth,” Chandra said. 

Available through the Airtel Retailer app, the R-Offer facility is already used by a remarkable 65% of Airtel’s retailer app users. On average, each of these retailer generates 25% of their income through R-offer. 

This year, Airtel also introduced a loyalty scheme for R-Offer users, categorising retailers into four tiers: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver, based on their usage patterns and volumes, with each tier unlocking more valuable perks and rewards. 

The program also included an exclusive raffle draw which ran from August to September. Approximately a quarter of Airtel’s retail partners qualified for this year’s draw. The raffle draw was held on 19 September 2023, with participation from senior members from Marketing, Sales, Legal and Finance. Winners of the R-Offer raffle received smartphones and vouchers from leading supermarkets.
