99x clinches Overall Gold and IT & BPO Sector title at Best Management Practices Awards 2023

99x emerged Overall Gold Winner at the Best Management Practices Awards 2023 organised by the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka) in addition clinching the Sector Award in the IT & BPO Services category. 

Over 40 companies participated in the competition, which was aimed at identifying and sharing best business management practices. The awards endorse best practices in areas including leadership, policies and strategies, risk management, people management, resource management and process improvement.     

The Top 5  ranked companies were invited to present their best practice at a special session within the CPM Sri Lanka Conference “Rebooting Management; Reimagine and Redesign” held on 16 March 2023. Other companies ranked in the Top 5 included Ansell Lanka, LOLC Finance, DFCC Bank and Elpitiya Plantations.

99x Founder and CEO Mano Sekaram commented, “We are delighted to be recognised with this award for our Global Sourcing best practice. 2022 was a challenging year for us all and we put in so much extra effort to explore alternate strategies and contingency planning. We are pleased to see our focus recognised this way.”

Simply put, we took it upon ourselves to go global in our talent sourcing model and thereby reduce our customers’ risk exposure to Sri Lanka. Through this initiative, we were able to retain all our customers by de-risking Sri Lanka and positioning 99x as their global sourcing partner. This initiative will also provide opportunities for our leadership in Sri Lanka to have global roles.”      

The Institute of Chartered Professional  Sri Lanka Manager Director Dilshan Arsakularathna said: “99x Technology won this year’s Overall Gold Winner award of the Best Management Practices company awards, because they satisfied the judges in every aspect of their submission. In their presentation, the judges saw the length which they go in providing their services to customers.”
