Pravir appointed to Overseas Realty Board

Pravir Samarasinghe has been appointed as a Director on the Board of Overseas Realty (Ceylon) Plc in addition to post as the Group Chief Executive Officer held since 10 March 2011. Pravir has 28 years of professional and commercial experience and has served on the Board of Directors of several publicly listed and unlisted companies. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is the Chairman of Industrial Association of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and EFC Affiliated Group of Companies. He is also a Committee member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Past President CIMA Sri Lanka Division and former Council Member CIMA UK. Following the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Overseas Realty (Ceylon) Plc comprises S.P. Tao (Chairman), H.Z. Cassim (Deputy Chairman), P. Samarasinghe (Director/Group CEO), R.L. Nanayakkara, M.T. Ong, M.Y. Boh Pin, N. Ben (alternate to S.P. Tao), M.B. Pereira (alternate to T. Ong), L. Ho Kang (alternate to M.Y. Boh Pin), E.P. Ong (Executive Director), Ajit de Silva Jayaratna, M. Pereira, L.R. de Lanerolle, T.K. Bandaranayake and R. Jayamaha.
