Firzan Mulafer, Arc Worldwide Sri Lanka’s Engagement Planner, has taken up the posting of Engagement Planning Director for Arc Worldwide in Bangkok with responsibilities extending across the South East Asian region. Arc Worldwide is the integrated communications specialist arm of Leo Burnett Worldwide.
Starting as a Brand Manager at Arc Worldwide in 2006 Mulafer was promoted in January 2010 to Arc Worldwide’s Director Engagement Planning.
During his tenure at Arc he worked with a diverse selection of clients dealing with a multitude of brands both local and international. It is his insightful ability of strategising integrated communications solutions for many brands which was recognised and earned for him this reward of being selected for a regional position.
Mulafer’s career at Arc Worldwide has been studded with numerous highlights and several accolades.
He was Sri Lanka’s first ever Young Lion and was selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Young Lions competition at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in Cannes, France. In addition Mulafer was also shortlisted for the Star Reachers’ programme which was held at the company’s head quarters in Chicago last year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Leo Burnett Worldwide.
Mulafer has also been selected for several training programmes conducted by the company such as Leo Burnett Digital Boot Camp, Singapore; Coke Side of Life, Delhi; MS&L PR immersion, Chennai; Oman Air Communications Summit, Muscat; and Leo Burnett MMP, Bangkok.
He also was a member of the agency team which attended the Spikes Asia held in Indonesia in 2008 and AdFest held in Pattaya in 2011.

Mulafer counts over 9 years of experience in marketing communications and brand management.
He has also served as a member of the Board of Director’s of the 4A’s of Sri Lanka in 2010/2011 and was also the Steering Committee Chairman for the Young Lion’s Sri Lanka Programme 2011. Mulafer holds a MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Marketing.
