Offering scholarships for its UK affiliated Diploma in Hospitality Management, Cross Border Institute (CBI) introduces a unique Scholarship Student Selection Program that leverages on social media.

Cross Border Institute, a leading hospitality education provider, has announced the launch of its Digital Scholarship Program to select exceptional candidates for their Diploma in Hospitality Management offered from the City of Oxford College, UK.

In the first competition of its calibre in Sri Lanka, candidates vying for the scholarships must upload a video resume to the Cross Boarder Institute Facebook page. Less than 40 second video resume must be uploaded from 1 December 2015 to 15 January 2016 with candidates stating their education and work experience, reasons for wanting to join the hospitality sector and why they think they should win the scholarship.

“The hospitality sector needs outgoing and pleasant personalities and this programme has been created to help us identify these students and reward those who have a passion for the industry,” says CBI Managing Director Manjarie Tissera. Shortlisted candidates will then be interviewed and the scholarship winners will be announced on 23 January 2016 for classes commencing on 29 January 2016.

CBI Founder Chairman Yatila Wijemanne said, “Technology is changing the delivery of education and we constantly seek to fuse innovative methods with classic approaches to ensure our students receive the best training.
