CIMA launches ‘Business Case Awards2012 ‘Recognising how CIMA drives business’

The CIMA Business Case Awards 2012 is a competition that awards the best business case recognising a turnaround or a success story.

It is organised with the aim of enhancing knowledge on how success is achieved and sustained in an organisation and facilitates cross-company knowledge sharing by showcasing cases that depict organisational stories.



The competition involves participants identifying and narrating a specificre al-life occurrence within the organisation they are employed in, under a preferred theme relating to one of the topics given by CIMA Sri Lanka. The case should identify, document, analyse and evaluate an actual occurrence in the participant’s own organisation and present the findings indicating the learning to the wider community.

Winners and their employers will be awarded and recognised at the ‘CIMA Business Case Awards Ceremony’ with cash prizes. Learning from winners’ case-studies will be showcased at the ‘CIMA Business Case Awards Ceremony ‘ and will be published in local and global CIMA publications.

Teams of two to three participants from any organization incorporated in Sri Lanka could register for the competition. All participants must be Sri Lankan resident employees of the organisation. Each team should include at least one participant who is an active CIMA Sri Lankan resident member as of30th April 2012, and such person should act as the leader of the team.

Gold Sponsor of the competition is the MAS Institute of Management and Technology Private Ltd, whilst the exclusive print media partner is Wijeya newspapers (Pvt) ltd. Exclusive digital media partner is LBO.lk and LBR.
