CIM Sri Lanka Region conducts leadership program for emerging young leaders

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region (CIMSLR) conducted an outdoor Leadership Training Program for Gateway International School recently, with the objective of identifying the leadership capabilities inherent in the participants by creating team participation and providing them with the learnings to transform their way of thinking about leaders and subordinates. The program equipped the students with decision-making skills required to expand their leadership capacity and improve their ability to lead cross-functional initiatives amidst challenging global

markets. CIMSLR Board Member/Corporate Affairs Ltd. Director Keith De Silva and Martial Arts and Kick Boxing (USA certified) Specialist and Fitness Trainer/Instructor Achala Fernando were the trainers who took the young energetic audience through the program. CIMSLR Head of Education Amal Fernando stated, “This intense program focusedon the leadership development of each participant through his or her sense of purpose, commitment and skills. In an increasingly complex and challenging world, great leadership is more critical than ever. By understanding these aspects CIMSLR wanted to approach the post O/L students of Gateway International School to give them the confidence and breadth of skills that require to be the authentic leaders of tomorrow.”
