CCC and ISMM hold Joint Seminar on Supply Chain Management

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (Imports Section) together with the Institute of Supply and Materials Management organised a joint seminar recently at the CCC Auditorium at Nawam Mawatha, Colombo for the benefit of supply chain students and ISMM members.

Session 1 was on ‘Managing the Supply Chain towards achieving competitive advantage’ by SriLankan Airlines President ISMM and Manager Materials and Logistics Anil Ponweera. Session 2 was on ‘Inventory Management focusing as a means of cost reduction, leading to competitive advantage’ by ISMM Management Consultant and Trainer and former Vice President I.G. Perera. The Panellists were Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Import Section Chairman Kevin Edwards, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Import Section Immediate Past Chairman Mahesh Wijewardene, ISMM President Anil Ponweera, Sri Lanka Ports Authority Deputy Chief Operations Manager Lal Weerasinghe and Management Consultant and Trainer I.G. Perera.
