Astron wins PPA quiz championship 2012

Astron Limited emerged as champions for the second consecutive year in the Pharma Promoters Association (PPA) 20th Quiz Nite which was held on 10 March 2012 at Hotel Galadari.

PPA Quiz Nite is an annual event in the calendar for many prominent pharmaceutical companies in the country. The Pharma Promoters Association conducted the Quiz Nite for the 20th consecutive time this year and 34 teams competed with each other to win this coveted championship trophy. This is the fourth time that Astron has been able to secure the championship.

“The quiz championship, whilst giving an opportunity for pharmaceutical industry employees to exhibit their knowledge, is also a platform to learn about the developments in this rapidly changing industry. We are happy that the Astron team won the Championship Trophy this year which proves to show that the Astron team is well equipped with current knowledge. We also believe in empowering and nurturing our employees to face the challenges of today,” said Sirimal Fernando, Director Marketing at Astron and President of the Pharma Promoters Association. “Our congratulations go out to the Astron team who won this prestigious challenge trophy,” he added.
