Sri Lanka Insurance celebrates outstanding employees at inaugural ‘Employee of the Year Awards – 2022’

Sri Lanka Insurance, the nation’s protector, the largest state owned insurer in the country, celebrated its exceptional employees at the first-ever ‘Outstanding Employee of the Year Awards - 2022’ ceremony held on 5 December, 2023, at  the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

The ceremony, a testament to the company’s commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence, saw the active participation of all employees invited to submit their applications for the awards. The evaluation criteria were comprehensive, covering vital aspects such as contribution to revenue/profit and business growth, cost optimisation (savings), employee and customer safety, wellness and wellbeing, sustainability, work ethics and values, and their impact on organisational culture.

After a rigorous selection process, three overall winners were chosen, with the titles, ‘Outstanding Employee - Winner,’ ‘1st Runner-Up,’ and ‘2nd Runner-Up.’ Additionally, five category winners were selected under each evaluation criterion, showcasing the diverse talents and contributions of the workforce. Two special awards were also presented for their  outstanding dedication and commitment to the organisation.

The event was organised to honour the winners that included the participation of their family members. The Chairman, Board of Directors, Chief Officers, Corporate Management, and Senior Management graced the occasion, underscoring the importance the company places on acknowledging and appreciating the hard work and achievements of its employees.
