Senela Jayasuriya wins ‘Sri Lanka Iconic Woman 2025’ award

Senela Jayasuriya (MBA, UK), a multi-award-winning Global CEO and leadership expert specialising in employee wellbeing, productivity, and performance was awarded a “Sri Lankan Iconic Woman 2025” at the national awards ceremony of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC). The event was organised by Top C Magazine of Action Media Solutions. 

100 outstanding Sri Lanka women who have made impactful contributions to economic growth through their entrepreneurial capabilities, were honoured at this event.

With experience in senior corporate roles, including former Country Director of a British Tech company and Communications Lead for a Fortune 100 company, Senela partners with C-Suite leaders to build high performing teams, future-ready cultures and sustainable leadership pipelines. As a Certified Transformation Coach, Certified Innovation Coach, and Certified Expert in Personal Agility, Senela has trained and coached leaders and teams from organisations such as the World Bank, United Nations, and Fortune 500 companies.

She is the Managing Director of Collective Leadership Global Ltd (UK) and the Founder & CEO of Women Empowered Global, a leadership platform with members across six continents. Her work spans business executives and corporates, conducting leadership and career advancement programs that empower teams and professionals to step into leadership roles both locally and internationally. She is the recipient of several prestigious accolades, including the Global CEO Top Businesswomen Award 2025, the Exceptional Women of Excellence award by the Women Economic Forum, the Women Icons Asia award (Singapore), and the Global Women in Leadership Award 2022. 

She was also recognised among the Top 150 Global Women Leaders by GCPIT and is the founder of the global movement One Million Women in Power.

Her work has been featured in magazines, podcasts, TV shows, and thought-leadership platforms across the USA, UK, Norway, Germany, Australia, Africa, Singapore, Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka among others. She is one of 13 trailblazing women featured in the book Women Going Global, launched during Global Entrepreneurship Week USA — a movement promoting gender equality in international trade.
