SLITAD People Development Awards 2025/26 concludes in grand style

The Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD) successfully hosted the 6th edition of the People Development Awards (PDA) 2025/26 at the Marino Beach Hotel, Colombo. The gala ceremony celebrated corporate pioneers who have set the benchmark for human capital development and workforce up skilling in Sri Lanka. Evaluated through a rigorous, independent auditing framework encompassing strategic alignment and operational excellence, 27 leading organizations (only limited companies are accommodated for the awards) from the manufacturing and service sectors were honoured across Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers.

This year’s awards underscored the profound impact of continuous learning and leadership on organizational success. By recognizing companies that champion employee growth as a core business strategy, the PDA continues to reinforce corporate integrity and shape a progressive future for Sri Lanka’s corporate landscape. NPD Institute, New Delhi Director Dr. Sandeep Mathur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The project was chaired by Lasith Abeygonawardana, and President Dr Samantha Rathnayake chaired the panel of independent auditors with the coordinating support of Nalaka Gunawardana as the Technical Committee head. The entire judging process was carried out by a group of academic and professional auditors.

Platinum and Gold Winners: Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (Gold / Platinum) and Nestle Lanka Ltd., as they fulfilled the criterion of winning three Gold awards, including this year’s. Gold Award Winners are A B Mauri Lanka Ltd., Abans PLC, Assetline Finance PLC, Atlas Axillia Company Ltd., Ceylon Cold Stores PLC, Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC, David Peris Motor Company Ltd., First Capital Holdings PLC, Hayles Fentons Ltd., HNB General Insurance Ltd., HNB Life PLC, Janashakthi PLC, JF & I Packaging Ltd., Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC, Metropolitan Technologies Ltd., Samson Compounds Ltd., Sathosa Motors PLC, Star Garments Ltd., United Tractor & Equipment Ltd., and Wichy Plantations Ltd. Silver Award Winners are Bitumix Ltd., Janashakthi Finance PLC, Janashakthi Insurance PLC, Screenline Ltd., and Singer Finance (Lanka) PLC. The awards are lined up in the SLITAD calendar every two years.
